Paul the apostle of Jesus Christ prophesied about the times in which we are now living. Read what he wrote in II Timothy 3:1 “But
know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.” Indeed these are perilous times! We see destruction of every kind around
the globe, financial crisis, wars, scandals, and every imaginable evil. The important thing for every believer to remember is that we
are not subject to the same dynamics of life everyone else is. The key for each of us is to know Truth and truly believe that Truth will
make us free.
I write to you as a reminder, for I know you know the Word of God and that you love it and have built your life on it. I commend you
for that. But I do not want you to be moved in the slightest by anything that is happening around you. You stand in covenant with God
Almighty, and His divine promises remain as strong and immovable today as they have throughout the history of the earth. Settle this
issue once and for all by declaring, “...For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. (II
Corinthians 1:20) Recount some of the promises God has made to you…
• Psalm 91:9-11 “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you,
nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”
• Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all
His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you
with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.”
• Psalm 112:1-8 “Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants
will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness
endures forever.
Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. A good man deals graciously
and lends; he will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely he will never be shaken; the righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
He will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established; he will not be afraid, until he
sees his desire upon his enemies.”
• Isaiah 43:1-2 “But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: ’Fear not, for I have
redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the
rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”
• II Peter 1:3 “As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who
called us by glory and virtue.”
We can look at the life of Isaac, and get a glimpse of how covenant people should fare during tough times. Genesis 26:12 says,
“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him.” The rest of the country was
languishing in famine and God’s covenant partner was prospering! How can that be? It happens because God buoys you up into a
higher realm of existence than the natural realm. You live in a different economy than the world. Your very existence is in the spiritual
realm in which are found those exceedingly great and precious promises from God. (II Peter 1:4)
The mistake I most often see in Christians is ignorance of the truths of the Word of God. This ignorance separates the saints from
the full enjoyment of each and every promise made to them by Father God. The promise is, “You shall know the truth and the truth
shall make you free.” (John 8:32) This statement implies there is a demand on your part to know. Freedom from the shaking that is
happening all over the earth right now is not an automatic thing to the children of God. It is promised only to those who know the
Truth. (John 17:17) If a brother does not know his spiritual authority over demons, for example, he is subject to their attacks. If he
does not know God has promised to supply his every need, he will be anxious when media reports the financial crisis. Knowing what
is truth and what is not is your first step to freedom.
Once knowledge from God is obtained, there is the requirement to act upon it in faith. Paul said, “And since we have the same spirit
of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak.” (II Corinthians 4:13)
The man who has become fully convinced of something is bold about talking about it. The truth is the words of God are power-packed
containers that release the promises of God; therefore, you start activating God’s promised blessings when you speak them. Power is
released that shields you and delivers you and imparts supernatural wisdom to you and surrounds you with the favor of God and
moves you in the direction of His care and blessings.
Now you can see no matter what CNN or FOX News reports you can stand strong and declare in all faith...
“I shall not be moved!”
